Before Phoenix Studios became a home for writing, rewrites, and storytelling education, it began behind the camera. The films below represent those early years - student projects, short films, and music videos created with friends and collaborators while learning the craft one production at a time. Each project helped shape the storyteller, and the studio, that Phoenix would eventually become.

Knots
Make It Right
A timid young man diagnosed with mild schizophrenia struggles with false perceptions that blur the line between what is real and what exists only in his mind. As those illusions tighten their grip, he must find a way to confront the world around him - and himself.
Inspired by the true story of Matthew Vaz’s brother, Knots follows Luke Dores as he struggles to master a task most people take for granted: tying his own shoes. It is a personal story about persistence, patience, and the difference a little support can make.
A pop music video centered on the desire to repair a fractured relationship, pairing music and cinematic imagery with a story of regret, connection, and second chances.
